Video: Morning routines that work.

D594BD04-93A5-4589-97B7-E65718412517.jpegHere are three oh-so-simple habits you can form or reinforce for yourself and your family that help you start living well from the moment you rise—and help carry you successfully through the day.

1. Make your bed first thing in the morning—no excuses. Insist your children do the same.

2. Savor your hot coffee (or hot beverage of choice) alone for 5-10 minutes every morning. Use that time to get centered and to envision your day, step-by-step, from morning till night, aligning these steps with your vision for your best self.

3. Open your windows and soak in the fresh air, even if it’s cold! Bundle up and breathe.
